Gyakie acknowledged that while she values constructive criticism, she has learned to be selective about the advice she follows. She explained that conflicting opinions—such as critiques about her hairstyle—often leave her confused, reinforcing her decision to trust her instincts. “I just learn to appreciate what I feel is right,” she said. “Whatever I put out is what gathers the people in my market.”
The artist admitted that early in her career, harsh comments affected her deeply. However, she now prioritizes her mental well-being by limiting her engagement with online negativity. “Right now, I just drop the music and do exactly what I have been brought on earth to do,” she stated. Though she remains active on social media, Gyakie avoids obsessively reading comments to prevent unnecessary stress.
She highlighted the psychological toll of negative feedback, noting how a single remark can ruin one’s week. “The mind is very tricky,” she said. “You might think you won’t let it get to you, but as a human being, you have feelings.” While she hasn’t completely stopped reading comments, she has significantly reduced the habit, focusing instead on her craft and audience.
